At Bospark Lunsbergen the young and old can experience a wonderful time! It is a quiet and spacious park, the ideal destination to recharge yourself. The children can enjoy tinkering at the Kids Club, play mini golf, dive into the swimming pool and play at the sports field, while you are relaxing at the bungalow with, for instance, a good book. The beautiful environment is certainly worth exploring. Take a walk along the Boomkroon path – a special route along the tree tops, offering a magnificent view on the surrounding area. Or rent a mountain bike and explore the adventurous routes through the area De Drentse Hondsrug. Culture lovers can go on fun excursions in the area, to the Hunebed Centre and the Drenthe Museum in Assen, among others.

At this park, it is possible to book accommodation where pets are welcome. You can only bring 2 pets per accommodation. There are pet-free accommodations too. There is something for everyone!

Price
For a dog or cat, you will pay a surcharge per night. The final cleaning is mandatory if you bring a pet. This mandatory final cleaning is sometimes included in the price of your stay.
Bringing an assistance dog
Good to know: different rules apply for assistance dogs. If all the holiday homes where dogs are allowed, are fully booked, your assistance dog is also welcome in a pet-free holiday home. You do not have to pay the usual pet surcharge. To register an assistance dog, please contact our Guest Service.
Bringing your pet to the Netherlands
When travelling to another country, travel documents are mandatory. The same is true for dogs and cats. So, please make sure you bring your pet's European pet passport. Start the day with lane swimming or come and spend a fun afternoon playing and splashing around with the kids. There is a separate paddling pool for tiny tots.
Access and opening hours
During your holiday at the park, you enjoy free admittance to the swimming pool. You can gain admittance to the swimming pool using your accommodation's key card. The swimming pool is open every day. The exact opening hours are available on the website and in the app. Practical: lockers are available at the changing rooms. Don't forget to bring a €0.50 coin as a deposit.

A unique forest at all seasons
For nine years already, the Boomkroonpad at the Boswachterij Gieten Borger has been a special attraction. Where else in the Netherlands is it possible to experience the forest as uniquely as here? From the carrot-tunnel up to the watchtower, at the Boomkroonpad the forest never gets boring! Staatsbosbeheer do their best to provide a pleasant day for all of the thousands of visitors that come along every year. There are also activities for the kids such as building huts, bridges, and much more!

A unique experience and a beautiful sight!
Exloo, a rural village on a hill called "De Hondsrug", has, as one of the last in the Netherlands, their own sheep herd. The sheep travel to the heather plain het "Molenveld" every day, and back to the sheepfold at the farm in Exloo. Watch out also for the dogs that steer the whole thing.
