Coronavirus COVID-19

The coronavirus is leading to new developments every day. That's why we keep in close contact with the relevant bodies. We are constantly adapting our policy according to the current guidelines. You will find an overview of frequently asked questions and answers below. These apply to the Roompot parks.

Frequently asked questions

  • What measures are Roompot taking to prevent the spread?

The national policy is aimed at keeping a distance of 1.5 metres from each other and ensuring (hand) hygiene. At our parks we have taken various measures for this purpose, which we will also remind guests of on site. You will find a comprehensive overview of our measures on our stay safe page. At all Roompot parks in the Netherlands we have closed the entertainment, kids club, swimming pool, wellness and the restaurants until 1 June. On Wednesday 6 May, the Dutch government announced that various facilities will be allowed to open again in the near future, such as the swimming pools on 11 May and the hospitality sector on 1 June. For the swimming pools, we are still waiting for the concrete guidelines and protocols from the government. As soon as we have more information about this, we will let you know. Until then, at certain parks, we will deliver snacks and meals to your holiday home. Reception, the shop and bike rental are open. We focus even more on the cleaning of frequently visited places, and hand gels are available. As soon as it is possible according to government advice, all facilities will be opened once again.

Other measures apply to our German parks. Please contact the reception of the park for more information about which facilities are open. In Germany, the wearing of masks is compulsory in all public buildings.
  • Are all Roompot holiday parks open?

Thanks to the measures we are taking, most Roompot holiday parks can remain open. Exceptions are:

    The Netherlands:

    Campsites:

Campsites with communal washing facilities and toilets may re-open on 1 July. Do you have a camping pitch with your own washing facilities or at least a chemical toilet, or are you an annual pitch holder? Then you are already welcome to visit our sites.

    Germany:
Foreign guests are welcome in Germany again. Guests from a maximum of 2 different families with 2 different residential addresses are permitted to stay in one holiday home. In Germany, the wearing of masks is compulsory in all public buildings.

    Belgium:
Breeduyn Village, Parc La Clusure. In Belgium, all the holiday parks of Roompot will be closed until 8 June.
  • Which facilities are open/closed until 1 June?

On Wednesday 6 May, the Dutch government announced that various facilities will be allowed to open again in the near future. Some swimming pools will open again on Monday 11 May. However, the government expects you to keep a distance of 1.5 metres from other guests who are not a member of your family. We will be happy to tell you the precise agreements about this at the swimming pool. As of 1 June, terraces with seats and catering services will be allowed to open again. Until then, at certain parks, we will deliver snacks and meals to your holiday home. Reception, the shop and bike rental are open. As of 1 July, the communal toilets and showers at campsites will be allowed to be open. As soon as it is possible according to government advice, all facilities will be opened once again.

Check your park's page for opening hours for the facilities.

Other measures apply to our German parks. Please contact the reception of the park for more information about which facilities are open. In Germany, the wearing of masks is compulsory in all public buildings.
  • Is the swimming pool open?

The pools at our Roompot parks will reopen from Monday 11 May, except for the indoor swimming pool in each of the following parks: Holiday Park Aquadelta, Resort Arcen and Ferienresort Cochem. However, the government expects you to keep a distance of 1.5 metres from other guests who are not a member of your family. We will be happy to tell you the precise agreements about this at the swimming pool. At Holiday Park Aquadelta, the indoor swimming pool will open on Wednesday 20 May. In Ferienresort Cochem and Resort Arcen it will be a later date. The outdoor pool at Hunzepark is not yet open either. We expect to be able to open it on 25 May.

A few other parks in our range have not yet reopened their pool. Check your park's page for opening hours for the facilities.

Other measures apply to our German parks. Please contact the reception of the park for more information about which facilities are open. In Germany, the wearing of masks is compulsory in all public buildings.
  • Is Koos Konijn present at the park?

On Wednesday 6 May, the government relaxed various measures. As a result, we can start up the entertainment again at our parks, on condition that the 1.5 metre distance can be respected. Although Koos Konijn himself is less sensitive to coronavirus, it is important to adhere to this rule. In any case, Koos is looking forward to being able to play with the children again.

Other measures apply to our German parks. Please contact the reception of the park for more information about which facilities are open.
  • Can I stay in 1 house with friends or family?

  • I want to rebook for an arrival after 1 June/this summer. Is that possible?

You can use our rebooking guarantee. Roompot allows you to change your booking up to 28 days before your arrival date, at no extra cost. This could include expanding your tour group or changing the time period or your holiday accommodation. A holiday at a different time or different destination may, of course, cost a little more. In that case, only the difference is charged (so you don't pay any change fees). Please get in touch with our Guest Service to inform us of any changes.
  • I have booked a holiday with an arrival date after 1 June. Can I postpone the payment of the following instalment(s)?

No, that is not possible. We advise you to pay the instalments on time. According to the applicable terms and conditions, your stay could otherwise be cancelled. Should the government extend the precautionary measures until after your arrival date, then you can request a leisure voucher for the travel sum already paid.
  • I have filled in a rebooking form, but have not received a response. What should I do now?

If you do not receive a confirmation that your holiday has been rebooked, your request has expired. We have introduced a recreation voucher as a replacement. You can use this voucher to book a new holiday on our website. Contact our Guest Service to apply for the leisure voucher.
  • What is the leisure voucher?

Due to the exceptional situation created by the coronavirus, this sector-wide leisure voucher has been introduced.

The leisure voucher is a voucher that you can use as an online means of payment when you book a new stay with us because your originally booked stay at one of our parks cannot take place or you have chosen not to continue your stay. The value of the leisure voucher is equal to the travel sum you have already paid. You can use the leisure voucher as a means of payment for a new booking up to 12 months after the original arrival date with an arrival date of 30 September 2021 at the latest.

Also read the HISWA-RECRON conditions for the leisure voucher.
  • How does the leisure voucher work?

You can use the leisure voucher as a means of payment for a new booking on our website, with an arrival date before 30 September 2021. You therefore book a new trip within 12 months of your original arrival date with an arrival date of 30 September 2021 at the latest. The leisure voucher is easy to redeem online. You use the link that you received with your leisure voucher.

    1. Click on the link underneath the voucher in the email attachment. This will take you to the offer page.

    2. You choose your desired holiday park and holiday home. Then select the desired arrival and departure dates.

    3. When making the booking, a screen appears automatically in which you enter the leisure voucher code. The amount of the voucher is now automatically deducted from the total amount.

    4. You fill in the remaining data and place the booking. The value of the leisure voucher expires after you have made the booking.

The value of the leisure voucher is equal to the travel sum already paid and the voucher is valid for 12 months from the original date of arrival.

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our parks soon.
  • How long will the leisure voucher remain valid?

You can use the leisure voucher up to 12 months after your original arrival date to book a new stay with us. The exact date is stated on your leisure voucher. The arrival date of the new trip must be no later than 30 September 2021.For example: you had booked a stay with an arrival date of 1 May 2020. Then you have until 30 April 2021 to book a new holiday with the voucher. The arrival date of this new holiday must be no later than 30 September 2021.

Also read the HISWA-RECRON conditions for the leisure voucher.
  • With my leisure voucher, I have booked exactly the same holiday in 2021 as I did for the original stay in 2020. The price for this holiday in 2021 is now higher. Have you raised the prices?

Our prices are based on supply and demand. If you have booked the same holiday home with the same number of guests and the same arrival period in 2021, you do not have to pay a possible price difference. If the new holiday is more expensive than the original one, please indicate this when booking on our website.
  • Can I use the leisure voucher for multiple bookings?

The leisure voucher has the value of the travel sum already paid and does not need to be spent at once. You can indeed use the leisure voucher for multiple bookings, or for a restaurant cheque at the park.
  • Have you kept in mind the fact that the Mai/Easter holidays will be later next year?

Yes, we did! The leisure voucher is valid for 12 months from the original date of arrival. You have to book within these 12 months. The latest arrival date for the new holiday is 30 September 2021. The May holiday / Easter holiday of 2021 falls within this period.

  • Do I have to spend the whole amount of the leisure voucher at once?

If the cost of your new booking is less than the value of the leisure voucher, you will keep the remaining amount as a leisure voucher.
