Coronavirus COVID-19

The coronavirus is leading to new developments every day. That's why we keep in close contact with the relevant bodies. We are constantly adapting our policy according to the current guidelines. You will find an overview of frequently asked questions and answers below. These apply to the Roompot parks.

Frequently asked questions

  • What measures are Roompot taking to prevent the spread?

The national policy is aimed at keeping a distance of 1.5 metres from each other and ensuring (hand) hygiene. At our parks we have taken various measures for this purpose, which we will also remind guests of on site. You will find a comprehensive overview of our measures on our stay safe page. We focus even more on the cleaning of frequently visited places, and hand gels are available.

Other measures apply to our German parks. Please check the opening hours of the park for more information about which facilities are open. In Germany, the wearing of masks is compulsory in all public buildings.
  • Are all Roompot holiday parks open?

All the holiday parks in The Netherlands, Germany, France and Belgium are open.
  • Is the swimming pool open?

Whether a swimming pool is open, varies from park to park. In the Netherlands, there are many where swimming pools are open. There are additional rules in force for safe use. The actual agreements on this can be found on the Safe Stay page. We recommend that you contact the park reception to make sure the pool at the park where you are staying is open. The park reception telephone number can be found by filling in the park name here. You will immediately see the Address & Travel Info of your park.

The number of visitors to the pools is limited. This allows everyone to keep the minimum 1.5 meters distance. To give all guests the chance to go swimming, we work with a number of fixed swimming periods per day. You can register for this at the park. How this is done, varies by park, and we will inform you on arrival.

Please note: Other measures apply to our German parks. Please contact the reception of the park for more information about which facilities are open. In Germany, the wearing of masks is compulsory in all public buildings.
  • Is Koos Konijn present at the park?

Although Koos Konijn himself is less sensitive to coronavirus, it is important to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters.

Koos will only appear at the park occasionally, and has a modified program due to safety.

Other measures apply to our German parks. Please contact the reception of the park for more information about which facilities are open.
  • Can I stay in 1 house with friends or family?

    The Netherlands and Germany
Yes, you may stay with friends or multiple family units in the same accommodation, provided a physical distance of 1.5m is maintained.

    Belgium
In Belgium, a household may have contact with 15 people who are not part of that household. So you can stay in 1 house with friends or family.
  • I want to rebook for an arrival after 1 June/this summer. Is that possible?

You can use our rebooking guarantee. At Roompot, it is always possible to change a booking up to 28 days before arrival, at no extra cost. This could include expanding your tour group or changing the time period or your holiday accommodation. A holiday at a different time or different destination may, of course, cost a little more. In that case, only the difference is charged (so you don't pay any change fees). If the price is lower than the original stay, it will not be adjusted. Please get in touch with our Guest Service to inform us of any changes.
  • I have booked a holiday with an arrival date after 1 June. Can I postpone the payment of the following instalment(s)?

No, that is not possible. We advise you to pay the instalments on time. According to the applicable terms and conditions, your stay could otherwise be cancelled. Should the government extend the precautionary measures until after your arrival date, then you can request a leisure voucher for the travel sum already paid.
  • What is the leisure voucher?

Due to the exceptional situation created by the coronavirus, this sector-wide leisure voucher has been introduced. The leisure voucher is a voucher that you can use as an online means of payment when you book a new stay with us because your originally booked stay at one of our parks cannot take place . Only guests who are not allowed to visit our park based on the travel advice of their home country, can apply for a voucher with the Guest Service for a stay with an arrival date until 30 June. The value of the leisure voucher is equal to the travel sum you have already paid.

You can use the leisure voucher as a means of payment for a new booking up to 12 months after the original arrival date with an arrival date of 30 September 2021 at the latest.

Also read the HISWA-RECRON conditions for the leisure voucher.
  • How does the leisure voucher work?

You can use the leisure voucher as a means of payment for a new booking on our website, with an arrival date before 30 September 2021. You therefore book a new trip within 12 months of the original arrival date with an arrival date of 30 September 2021 at the latest. The leisure voucher is easy to redeem online. You use the link that you received with your leisure voucher.

    1. Click on the link underneath the voucher in the email attachment. This will take you to the offer page.

    2. You choose your desired holiday park and holiday home. Then select the desired arrival and departure dates.

    3. When making the booking, a screen appears automatically in which you enter the leisure voucher code. The amount of the voucher is now automatically deducted from the total amount.

    4. You fill in the remaining data and place the booking. The value of the leisure voucher expires after you have made the booking.

The value of the leisure voucher is equal to the travel sum already paid and the voucher is valid for 12 months from the original date of arrival. The arrival date of this new holiday must be no later than 30 September 2021.

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our parks soon.
  • How long will the leisure voucher remain valid?

You can use the leisure voucher up to 12 months after your original arrival date to book a new stay with us. The exact date is stated on your leisure voucher. The arrival date of the new trip must be no later than 30 September 2021.

For example: you had booked a stay with an arrival date of 1 May 2020. Then you have until 30 April 2021 to book a new holiday with the voucher. The arrival date of this new holiday must be no later than 30 September 2021.

Also read the HISWA-RECRON conditions for the leisure voucher.
  • With my leisure voucher, I have booked exactly the same holiday in 2021 as I did for the original stay in 2020. The price for this holiday in 2021 is now higher. Have you raised the prices?

Our prices are based on supply and demand. If you have booked the same holiday home with the same number of guests and the same arrival period in 2021, you do not have to pay a possible price difference. If the new holiday is more expensive than the original one, please indicate this when booking on our website.
  • Can I use the leisure voucher for multiple bookings?

The leisure voucher has the value of the travel sum already paid and does not need to be spent at once. You can indeed use the leisure voucher for multiple bookings, or for a restaurant cheque at the park.
  • Have you kept in mind the fact that the Mai/Easter holidays will be later next year?

Yes, we did! The leisure voucher is valid for 12 months from the original date of arrival. You have to book within these 12 months. The latest arrival date for the new holiday is 30 September 2021. The May holiday / Easter holiday of 2021 falls within this period.
  • Can I use my leisure voucher for my July booking?

Yes, of course. You can use the leisure voucher for a new booking in July. It is not possible to redeem the leisure voucher on an existing booking.

  • When will I receive a leisure voucher?

If your stay at a holiday park or campsite cannot go ahead because the park or campsite is closed due to corona measures, you will automatically receive an e-mail with the leisure voucher.

Have you booked a stay at one of our camping sites for an arrival up until 14 June, but you do not have your own chemical toilet? Then, unfortunately, you are not permitted to stay at the camp site. However, you can request a leisure voucher for this holiday. Contact our Guest Service to apply for the leisure voucher. The communal washing facilities at our campsites will be open from 15 June.

You are not a resident of the Netherlands, and your home country's travel advice does not allow you to come to our park? Then you can rebook your holiday with an arrivaldate up until 30 June, or request a leisure voucher. Contact our Guest Service to apply for the leisure voucher.
  • Do I have to spend the whole amount of the leisure voucher at once?

No, that is not necessary. You decide how you spend the value of the leisure voucher. If the cost of your new booking is less than the value of the leisure voucher, you will keep the remaining amount as a leisure voucher. We therefore recommend that you keep the leisure voucher in a safe place. Please note that the leisure voucher is valid up to 12 months after your original arrival date.
  • I have requested a leisure voucher, but have not received one yet. When can I expect the voucher?

Leisure vouchers will be sent shortly. Unless you receive information to the contrary, this will be done within 14 days after request.
  • What is the value of the leisure voucher?

The value of the leisure voucher is equal to the travel sum you have already paid.

Example: If you have only paid your first deposit of EUR 100, you will receive a voucher worth EUR 100.

You will find the value of the leisure voucher in the e-mail with the voucher.
  • I haven't received my leisure voucher yet, but I have already made a new booking. Can you settle the leisure voucher with this?

You can only use your leisure voucher for new bookings. We advise you to wait with booking until you have received the leisure voucher. As soon as you have received the voucher, you can make a new booking online.

  • I have just moved house and have not received a leisure voucher yet. Is my address saved in your system correct?

In principle, the leisure voucher will be sent by e-mail. Have you checked your e-mail? The e-mail may also have ended up in your spam folder. If you have not registered an e-mail address with us, you will receive the leisure voucher by post. If you do not know which address is registered for you, please contact our Guest Service.
  • I am not planning on going on holiday before 30 September 2021. Can you pay me the (remaining) value of the leisure voucher?
