Stay on a working cattle farm

Three wooden cottages stand in a peaceful area of the farm. Comfortable beds, wood stove, shower and toilet: all you need. There's no Wi-Fi or electricity, so you can spend quality time together. But don't worry if your e-reader battery runs out just when you've reached an exciting chapter. You can recharge it at the farm shop. In the evening, relax by candlelight under the starry sky. A farm with traditions.

Hof Keppel was built in 1890 in the typical German timber-frame style. The Schauerte family also has a proper family tradition: hand ringing a bronze bell twice a day. They've been doing that for more than 100 years! The farm is surrounded by cow fields, and Snickers the pony is sure to come and say hello. Little guests will feel totally at home in the petting barn, playground and straw-filled play area.

An ideal location for all seasons.

Skiing is another option when there's snow, due to the nearby winter sport areas. Skis and ski boots can be kept at the farm, where they can soon get warm and dry again. Winterberg or other winter sport areas are great destinations for outings. And not only in the winter, but any month of the year. Go for a walk along idyllic hiking paths in the vicinity of Hof Keppel, or visit the climbing hall in Schmallenberg. There you'll also find the outdoor swimming pool and Thikos Kinderland. After an enjoyable outing, enjoy the superb view from the accommodation, or get nice and warm again in a hot tub. Still need something? The Hof Keppel farm has a farm shop.
