Experience ultimate outdoor living in the Deventer countryside. Stay on a farm run by farmers Henk and Margriet. They have a dairy farm. 8 luxury tents are pitched in a quiet place on the farm. Comfortable beds, a wood stove, a private shower and toilet: you'll want for nothing. There's no Wi-Fi or electricity, so you can spend quality time together. Has your e-reader battery run out, just as you have reached an exciting chapter? You can recharge it at the farm shop. In the evening, relax by candlelight under the starry sky. During the day, you can experience real farm life, or discover the surrounding countryside. Now that's what you call a holiday, with a touch of farm life thrown in.
Ideal for kids
Most kids love spending time on a farm. Outdoor play, animal petting and helping the farmer feed and care for his herd. You can do all of this and more at The Wesselink! On the farm kids will learn all about the animals and can help farmer Henk bottle-feed the calves. Make sure you spend some time with the many rabbits in the petting barn. The woodland on the outskirts of the farm is a veritable kids' paradise. Go-karting, den-building, a giant swing and aqua play area are all waiting to be discovered. You'll stay entertained throughout the day when you stay on this farm!
Versatile surroundings
Fancy a day trip away from the farm? No worries, there is plenty to see and do. The Hanseatic city of Deventer is very convivial. The Toy Museum is always a hit with the kids. Or, stroll through the historic city centre and learn more about this region. Would you prefer something a little more active? A local mountain bike trail is highly recommended. The forested ridge is ideal for walks. If you're staying at The Wesselink in April, May or June, make sure you stop by an asparagus grower to buy yourself fresh asparagus. Utterly delicious!
