Fancy a day of action on and in the water? Then Brouwersdam is the place to be! Here you can find windsurfing, sailing and many more water sports activities. No experience? No problem; you can also take lessons.

An educational outing for all ages

Deltapark Neeltje Jans is an adventurous day out for the whole family. The park is located in the middle of the beautiful Oosterschelde National Park. Here, everything revolves around sun, sea, nature, water, wind, culture and technology. Experience the historical story in the Delta Experience, go on a guided tour through the Delta Expo and to the storm surge barrier, visit the sea lion and seal presentation, stand eye to eye with tropical sharks in Zeeland's largest saltwater aquarium Bluereef, cool off in the Aquasplash, slide down the water slide, get a breath of fresh air in our hurricane machine and rest in the park train. In short, there is plenty to do for a great day. Want to spot seals and porpoises? Then go along on the Christiaan B tour boat!

Go on a culinary exploration in the Market Hall and be sure to look up at the colourful artwork on the roof of the hall. Go shopping in the Koopgoot and Lijnbaan. Or visit Blijdorp Zoo, enjoy the view from the Euromast or discover Rotterdam from the water in one of the boat trips.

Travel through the past

Imagine yourself back in time with a ride on a historic tram from the RTM museum at Port Zélande. For even more of these beautiful surroundings, you can combine the tram ride with a boat trip on the Grevelingenmeer. Please note the changing departure times. Pay a visit to a sick seal! Learn how seals are rescued and cared for at the A Seal shelter for seals. rnrnYou can also learn all about the habitat of seals and enjoy regularly organised exhibitions. Come visit the seals and help lift their spirits. After all, everyone deserves a little extra attention when they’re sick. Spectacular ride on Brouwersdam

A ramp of nearly 8 meters high with three slides and a landing that guarantees a refreshing dip in the Grevelingenmeer ... With the special Sunset Water Jump Clinic you can even enjoy the sunset while jumping.

From bucket to fire engine

What to do in case of fire? In Amsterdam they had come up with a solution in 1413 already: 'Shout out loud the words Fire, Fire, Fire!' The city had over 12,000 buckets at its disposal. You can discover many more facts in the National Fire Brigade Museum, which has a unique collection of fire fighting equipment from around 1550 to date.

Discover the harbours and Maasvlakte 2

A visit to the free FutureLand Information Centre will tell you all about the development of the Rotterdam harbour. At Maasvlakte 2, you can see the largest container ships and state-of-the-day container terminals with your own eyes! There is always something to do in the information centre's interactive environment. For example, take a 3D trip through the new harbour area. Would you rather see the harbour with your own eyes? Take a journey through the island history!

The museum consists of an old village shop, a fire department station and a period room. The collection includes earthenware, farming and fishing gear, funerary hatchments, paintings and so on. The museum is located in seven gabled houses from the seventeenth century, which are interlinked on the inside.

Go together on adventure millions of years back in history! To the time of the dinosaurs and the last Ice Age. Here you'll come face to face with a life-size mammoth, cave bear or, sable-toothed tiger. Outside the park you can experience a journey through time as well, by searching for fossils. You'll feel what it's like to be a real scientist.
