A wooden boardwalk takes you from the park down to the beach, where the water is shallow for most of the day. Perfect for little ones. Buckets, spades and baby crabs. A favourite seaside activity for everyone, no? At the end of a delightfully sun-drenched day, the kids can cool down a little longer in the garden or the playground before they go to bed. Not for mum and dad though. They can enjoy a nice glass of wine on the terrace.
Spend hours cycling along the coast
A long walking and cycling path runs right along the beach. Rent one of the park's electric bikes and take a trip along the coast to Sluis or Cadzand, two typical cities of the Zeeuws-Vlaanderen region where the bon-vivant lifestyle reigns supreme. Or why not pop over the border to Belgium to sophisticated Knokke-Heist which with its designer shops, luxury beach bars and delightful bistros is one of the most popular coastal towns in Flanders. There is also plenty of natural beauty to enjoy at the Zwin Nature Reserve, or go for a lovely walk at the nearby Verdonken Zwarte Polder. Enjoy fresh fish and chips in the quaint fishing village of Breskens. Or pop into our new main building to sample our Foodies restaurant menu.

What's in the Veluwe Wild Season Box?
The Veluwse Wild Season Box contains all the ingredients you need for a culinary 4-course dinner. You'll start with a delicious hors d'œuvre of salmon tartare, goat's cheese and tomato. The starter consists of a delicious forest mushroom soup. Time for the main course! The box contains all the ingredients for a Veluwe game stew with stewed pears, pumpkin hummus, fries and a carrot and pumpkin rösti. To complete your meal, it also comes with a bottle of red wine, the perfect complement with the game.
Enjoyed the game stew? Then it's time for dessert! For dessert, you'll prepare a hazelnut mousse with caramel and a trio of chocolate. Finger licking good!
Ordering Veluwse Wild Season Box
Is your mouth watering already? Before your stay, you can order the seasonal box via Mijn Roompot or by phone at the Service point. If you are already at the park, you can do this at the supermarket. Order the box before 12:00 for pick-up the next day. This can be done at the Service point or supermarket on the park. Bon appetit!

Discover the different landscape types of the Verdronken Zwarte Polder. The sea flows into the nature reserve here, so you will find sandy and clay soil as well as fresh and salt water. The Verdronken Zwarte Polder has many different animal and plant species. The wooden footbridges take you on a beautiful walk through the polder to the beach. Bring your binoculars, you might spot a nightingale or a stonechat.
Visit this Burgundian town on the Belgian border and discover its wide range of shops, restaurants and cafés. Go shopping, take a walk on the city walls or visit Museum Het Belfort. Every Friday, stroll past the many stalls at the weekly market or discover the town's rich history by following one of the town walks.
Explore the Zwin with various walking or cycling routes, or climb the panorama tower for stunning views of the surrounding nature. Prefer to take it easy? Then you can learn more about the area in the Nature Education Centre or admire the park from the viewing centre. How many birds can you spot?
The Netherlands' only Belfry stands in the heart of Sluis. Museum Het Belfort is an interactive museum for young and old. Discover the history of this historic town and its economic heyday. Climb the spiral staircase all the way to the top of the tower for a magnificent view over Sluis and the surrounding area.
