Staying with the farmer

Experience ultimate outdoor living in the Zeldegem countryside, near Bruges. You will stay with the Verhegge family at the farm Hoeve Brugge. They own a cattle and agricultural farm. 5 tents are pitched in a quiet place on the farm. Comfortable beds, a wood stove, a private shower and toilet: it has it all. There's no Wi-Fi or electricity, so you can spend quality time together. Has your e-reader battery run out, just as you've reached an exciting chapter? You can recharge it at the farm shop. In the evening, relax by candlelight under the starry sky. During the day, you can experience real farm life, or discover the Flemish countryside. Now that's a holiday with a touch of farm life.

Playing on the farmyard

Hoeve Brugge is a mixed farm. This means that you can help feed the cows, sheep, goats and horses, but there's a corn maze and farmers golf too. In the special petting barn, there's always time for cuddling with the animals. But kids can of course also play on the playgrounds, and in foul weather, there's even an indoor play area. The kids won't have enough hours in the day, because the interactive Pierlapad has yet to be discovered. Boating, pony riding: boredom really has no place on the list.

Surrounded by great places

Despite all the fun things to do on the farm, you sometimes have to drag the kids along for a trip, but once they reach their destination, they soon have a good time. The North Sea coast is only a 25-minute drive away, and everyone enjoys a day at the beach. The farm is located in a wooded area where you can enjoy walking and cycling. And just 5 minutes from the farm is the Boudewijn Seapark with dolphins and a subtropical swimming paradise. The Castle of Loppem with the cool maze is also a great trip for the whole family. Strolling through the historic city of Bruges is also highly recommended. Don't forget buying some Belgian chocolates! After a day full of experiences, it is great to come home to the quiet countryside.
