Water, vast meadows and woodlands alternate. Nature in the Lauwersmeer is so special that the area has been designated a National Park. At Lauwersoog you will find several beaches. Perfect for those hot days! If you prefer to go sailing, you can rent a boat at various places. Or go on a day trip to the Wadden Island Schiermonnikoog. You can get there in no time by ferry.
