You cannot forget you are on an island when you are on Terschelling - you can hear the North Sea and smell the Wadden Sea wherever you are. There are over 200 kilometres of unpaved walking trails and 70 kilometres of cycle paths through forests, beach, dune valleys, salt marshes, polder and heaths.

 Swimming nearby
Swimming is always fun for young and old. Looking for a day filled with water fun? Then take the kids to swimming pool De Dôbe, about 6 km from the park. Dive into the water, skid down the slide and float in the jetstream. In summer you can also swim in the nearby ocean.
 Hiking and cycling
Discover the many nature reserves of Terschelling. Spend the day trekking across mudflats (wadlopen), an adventurous way to explore the Wadden region as you walk on the exposed bottom of the sea at low tide. Cycle along the Waddendijk and admire the sweeping vistas. Feel the wind in your hair and leave al your worries behind.

Experience this typical island feeling during your stay at Landal Schuttersbos. From the cosy holiday park in Midsland, you can walk right into the woodland and the dunes. And after hours of roaming along the water line, you can enjoy a tasty Terschelling 'jutterbitter' (beachcomber's drink) in your thatched cottage.
