Anyone who enjoys boating will enjoy Landal Waterresort Blocksyl. Explore the vast world by renting a boat from the park. You can sail up the Noorderdiep from the park, for example, to National Park Weerribben-Wieden (a fifteen-minute boat ride). This nature reserve is the largest continuous low meadow area in northwestern Europe, covering over 10,000 hectares. The world-famous village of Giethoorn is located on the other side of the National Park (half an hour by boat from Waterresort Blocksyl).

All houses are located by the water. This can be on the main canal where you can wave at passing boats, on the side canal or on the pond. You have the option of mooring your own sloop in the main and side canal. This is not possible in the pond. Fishing is also not allowed there. Through the booking process, you can specify a preference for the location of the accommodation against additional costs. On the parkmap you can see where the houses are located.

A block to Blokzijl
Blokzijl, a picturesque and historic town, is located 350 meters from the park. You can walk here or moor in the harbor of the former Zuiderzee town. The rich trading history and prestige that this place enjoyed in the sixteenth century, when peat was shipped from here to the rest of the Netherlands, can still be felt here. Take a seat in one of the atmospheric restaurants and cafes, many of which are housed in centuries-old structures.

 Boat rental
At the park, you can rent a sloop or a canoe. And, especially in this environment, this is highly recommended. From your accommodation, you can sail directly to the Noorderdiep, across the Giethoornsche Meer, and all the way through the Weerribben National Park. So, for example, to Giethoorn, the 'Venice of the North.'
 Bike rental
Beautiful scenery, paths through the wetland, and bird hides along the way: that's what you'll find when you hop on your bike and ride around the park. You can also rent a bike from us at the park. Isn't it simple?
 Food and drinks
The park has a snack bar for quick and easy meals, and a supermarket is a 10-minute walk away for essential groceries. Do you want to have a relaxing and comfortable morning? Then have our breakfast service deliver it to you. Those looking for culinary delights can walk to the town of Blokzijl in 5 to 10 minutes, where there is a wide selection of restaurants and cafes. Wander through the authentic old farms that dot the landscape between the dams and wooded banks. A short distance from the park, the old harbor towns of Vollenhove and Blokzijl offer a taste of history as well as excellent shopping and dining.

Landal Waterresort Blocksyl is located between Emmeloord and Steenwijk in 'de Kop van Overijssel.'
