Right next to the most extensive dune area in the Netherlands is Park Scorleduyn. Enjoy this special nature in its own way. From the park you can cycle to the beach in 15 minutes. Would you rather go to a lively place? Within 20 minutes' drive you are in the centre of, the cheese city, Alkmaar and 35 minutes away is Den Helder, highly recommended for its many terraces, shops and museums.

In the Schoorl Dunes, you can enjoy nature in peace or actively. Take a walking, cycling or mountain bike trip between the high dune tops of the Schoorl Dunes or visit Buitencentrum Schoorlse Duinen and follow the gnome and animal friends trail from here with your youngest nature lover. Crazy about water? A 10-minute drive away you will find 'De Jongens uit Schoorl'. Here you can take a (kite)surfing lesson or follow a special sunset suptour.

Within walking distance of Park Scorleduyn is the village of Schoorl. In this lively village you can spend an afternoon strolling around: shop in, shop out and end the afternoon on a terrace at the foot of the climbing dune, while the children romp in the sand.

With the beach just a 15 minute cycle, a refreshing dip is never far away. The beaches Hargen aan Zee and Camperduin have Blue Flags, a European hallmark for clean and safe marinas and beaches. About a 15 minutes drive, you will find the water amusement park De Holle Bolle Boom. Plenty of water fun for children aged 0 to 11 at the Holle Bolle Plons, the tropical water playground. For older children, there are spectacular slides in the Waterpark.
 Food and drinks
In the area around Schoorl, you can eat out in a very varied way. From eating with a view at one of the beach pavilions to letting yourself be culinary surprised at star restaurant Merlet. Enjoy a snack and a drink at the bottom of the Schoorl Climbing Dune after an afternoon strolling around or stop by before or after a walk at IJgenwijs, a catering concept within walking distance of Park Scorleduyn.

Children can have a great time in nature near Park Scorleduyn. With the beach as a play paradise and the gnome and animal discovery trail, children will not be bored for a minute. With Speelpark de Goudvis and the Zee Aquarium nearby, there is also plenty of fun to be had indoors!
 Sport and games
The Schoorl Dunes are ideally suited to exploring on foot or by bike. In the dunes alone, you will find a network of paved cycle paths of up to 20 kilometres and the dune area has a walking network of no less than 65 kilometres. Enough to discover! Crazy about water sports? At 'De Jongens van Schoorl', you can practice various water sports under the guidance of enthusiastic professionals.

Your holiday at Park Scorleduyn

When you are at Park Scorleduyn you can walk from your spacious, detached bungalow straight into one of the extensive dune areas of The Netherlands. Here, between the high dune tops, you can follow some wonderful hiking, biking or mountain biking trails. Take the children out for a visit to Buitencentrum Schoorlse Duinen and walk along the gnome and animal friends path. In addition, from the park, it’s only a 15 minutes’ ride to the wide beach of Hargen aan Zee, where you can just dive into the waves and have a meal at one of the beach pavilions. The village centre of Schoorl, full of cosy shops and restaurants is within walking distance from the park. And would you like to spend a day in a larger town? Den Helder and Alkmaar with its many terraces, shops and museums is strongly recommended. Or visit the nearby artists' village of Bergen. The nearby beaches of Hargen aan Zee and Camperduin have a Blue Flag, which is a European grading for clean and safe marinas and beaches.
