Beautifully appointed

Choose from various types of beach houses for two to four people, all modern and hotel-chic in design. Inside, you can enjoy comfortable box-spring beds, a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely bathroom to relax in. Outside, you can sit on your own dune terrace with lounge chairs. In some accommodations, you can wash off the sand after a day at the beach under the outdoor shower or light the Green Egg BBQ for a relaxing evening. Your dog is also welcome to join you on your holiday by the sea. Your four-legged friend will immediately feel at home in the dog-friendly beach houses. And the beach? You're already there. Food and drink

There are plenty of places to eat and drink around the park without having to walk or drive far. Beach pavilion Zee & Zo is just a short walk away and is the perfect spot for lunch by the sand, dinner at sunset, or a quiet drink with a view of the waves. In Petten and the surrounding villages, you will find even more restaurants and cafés if you fancy a bit of variety. For your daily essentials, the supermarket in Petten is just a quick cycle from the park, making it easy to whip up a meal back at your beach house.

Kids

The beach is one giant playground where kids can run until they are tired out, search for shells until their pockets are full, and fly kites high in the breeze before a quick splash in the sea. The dunes are an adventure in themselves, filled with secret paths to follow and high peaks to climb. Keep an eye out while cycling through the area: you might spot a rabbit, an old lighthouse, or an ice cream van along the way. And, of course, no trip is complete without a visit to the famous climbing dune in Schoorl to really let off some steam. This is what holidays are all about: playing outside, staying active, and discovering the best of the coast together.

Walking and cycling

From the park, you can head straight onto the walking and cycling routes that wind across the beach and through the dunes. Take a stroll toward the panoramic dunes, explore the Zwanenwater nature reserve, or walk for miles along the coastline. If you prefer to explore on two wheels, you can easily cycle to Callantsoog, Schoorl, or Bergen, enjoying sea views and passing through quiet, traditional villages along the way. With routes for every pace and distance, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Swimming

Being this close to the water might feel like a luxury, but here it is just part of your day. On warm mornings, you can walk straight from your beach house and into the North Sea. The wide coast at Petten invites you to swim, paddle or just float among the waves. In between, you can dry off on the sand, find a sheltered nook in the dunes, or just sit back and soak up the sun. If you fancy a change of scenery, the Campanula indoor pool is only a ten-minute cycle away.

Around the Ruïnekerk in Bergen you will find the art market and many charming boutiques for shopping. After which, you can take a break and have a snack and a drink at one of the hospitable restaurants. Naval Museum

The Naval Museum introduces children to the Dutch Navy in a playful way. Climb aboard real ships, operate buttons, look through a periscope and listen to stories from former sailors.

Het Zwanenwater nature reserve

The Zwanenwater nature reserve has two large dune lakes. During a walk, you can spot many birds and plants. In early summer, thousands of orchids bloom.

The park is small and quiet, with a location that truly sets it apart. You will stay in a modern beach house for two to four people, cleverly designed and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Inside, it feels warm and familiar, while outside you can relax on your own dune terrace. The beach is literally on your doorstep, and the visible KNRM rescue station provides a sense of safety while swimming. Here, the sea and nature naturally set the rhythm of your days.

Outside your beach house, there is plenty of space to spend your holiday exactly as you wish. Walk along the coast until the sea breeze clears your head, cycle through the dunes, or explore the local villages and towns. If you want to stay active, you can visit various water sports rental companies on the nearby beaches. And if you prefer not to make any plans, you can simply let go of the schedule. This is a place where you can slow down and fill your holiday with sea, fresh air, and space.
