There is no zoo in the world like Apenheul. Apenheul harbours over thirty species of primates, many of them ranging freely among the visitors. Others live on large islands where you can observe them happily going about their business. Just like in their natural habitat, the monkeys and apes are constantly discovering new things. This can lead to special encounters, which you will not easily forget.

More than just a castle

The Cannenburch castle, built in the Middle Ages, is situated in a beautiful old park with meadows and ponds. You can visit the castle and stroll around or go biking in the surrounding area.

The steam train rides of the VSC are made even more enjoyable with a pancake lunch! Every last Sunday of the month, a historic carriage is attached, where chefs get right to work especially for you. This allows you to enjoy delicious pancakes while viewing the diverse landscapes. Please make sure to place a reservation.

The Dutch Open Air Museum captures history by its authentic buildings, objects and true stories. You will be taken along on a trip through time…. from two centuries ago until very recently. Experience the adventure around barnyards, farms, houses, mills, the farm café and shops!

Over 60 fantastic attractions

On the edge of Natural Park Veluwe, you will find the biggest family amusement park of the Veluwe, Julianatoren. This park is home to Jul the mouse and his friends. The Juliana Tower is a pleasant, safe and organised amusement park with over 60 fantastic attractions. It offers a great day out for families with children from 2 up to 12 years old.

Have an unforgettable experience

When visiting Burgers Zoo, you can meet more than 3,000 animals. The residents of the park include: all 3 kinds of great apes, bongos, elephants, meerkats, sea lions, penguins, predators, bovines, a nocturnal animal shelter and an extensive collection of birds. A day out for the whole family!

Het Loo Palace, in the woodland setting of Apeldoorn in the heart of the Netherlands, was the favourite summer residence of the Stadtholders and the Royal Family of the Netherlands from 1686 to 1975. Since 1984 the palace has served as a museum after a spectacular restoration of the buildings and the gardens, returning them to their original seventeenth century state. The palace with its interiors dating from the Stadtholder-King William III and Queen Mary II up to the reign of Queen Wilhelmina, reflects the lifestyles of the members of the family of the Dutch House of Orange-Nassau over three centuries.

On the Veluwe, in the small village of Emst, you will find trout farm ’t Smallert. A park where all members of the family can enjoy many things! ‘t Smallert offers a wide range of possibilities like, for instance a nice day out, children’s parties, office parties, birthdays and family reunions. This park consists of a trout farm, fishing ponds, candle manufactory and a restaurant with a lovely terrace. Apart from day recreation, we also have possibilities for celebrations and parties.
