Hunzepark is located in the middle of the Drentse Hondsrug. This unique area has been declared the only geopark in the Netherlands. Cycle through the landscape full of fens and burial mounds and visit the famous dolmens. Trek between the treetops on the Boomkroonpad, discover picturesque Drenthe villages such as Borger or go monkey watching in WILDLANDS Adventure Zoo.

Immerse yourself in summer fun at Hunzepark! From tennis and golf to table tennis and beach volleyball, there's something for everyone. Take a refreshing dip in the heated outdoor pool or join in the activities organised by HunzeOutdoor, such as canoeing, raft building, archery, climbing, and ziplining.

From glamping to lakeside villa

At Hunzepark, you'll find a variety of accommodations to suit your needs. Choose from cosy log cabins, spacious chalets, unique glamping tents, or luxurious waterfront villas. For larger groups, we offer spacious group accommodations.

Swimming

Enjoy our heated outdoor pool from May to September. Take a refreshing dip, sunbathe on the lawn, or dive from the diving board. During the off-season, you can use the indoor swimming paradise at Holiday Park Hunzedal.

Food and drinks

During the summer months (April to October), the HunzeCafé serves chips, snacks and pizza. When the weather is good, you can sit on the terrace overlooking the canoe pond.

Sport and games

Hunzepark is a paradise for sports enthusiasts. During holidays, HunzeOutdoor organises (subsidised) activities such as raft building, climbing, archery and an obstacle course, supervised by an instructor. Suitable for children aged 6 and above. Prefer to do something on your own? Rent a canoe, stand-up paddle board, pedal boat or bicycle at the service point. You can also play table tennis, go fishing or play tennis and golf in the surrounding area.

Your holiday at Hunzepark

From exciting outdoor activities with the whole family to roaming around in the outdoors for hours without meeting another soul: at Hunzepark the choice is yours! The park's recreational pond offers plenty of options: fishing or canoeing for example. Those who prefer to stay on land have just as much to choose from: beach volleyball and table tennis. Drenthe is considered the ultimate hiking and cycling province in the Netherlands for good reason: go for a scenic bike ride with the park as your starting point, or head for the Drentsche Aa National Park and the Hart van Drenthe nature reserve. A hike along the megalithic 'hunebed' tombs in the region is also definitely worth your while. For thrill-seekers, a day out to the nearby Attractiepark Slagharen or WILDLANDS Adventure Zoo is recommended. Experience Drenthe at its best at the many-sided Hunzepark!
