They can have fun in the indoor playground. The park is nearby Drents-Friese Wold National Park, one of the largest wooded areas in the Netherlands where you can go for scenic hikes and bike rides. On hot days, take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool in Appelscha, which is less than 100 metres from the park.
Facilities
Buitenplaats De Hildenberg features a splendid 9-hole (B-status) golf course. To be able to use this golf course you will need to have a valid GVB Golf Skills Certificate or course permit. Beginners can take lessons from a professional and, if they wish, use practice facilities and a 3-hole par-3 course. There is also a club house and a covered two-day driving range with practice facilities. The Appelscha area is also a true golfer's paradise.-
