The North Sea is a stone's throw from your accommodation and invites you to take a refreshing dip in the salty water. Is the water temperature still a bit too chilly? Then you can always sunbathe on a bed, build a sandcastle or get a breath of fresh air on a long beach walk.
Food and drinks
Right next to the beach houses is the Strandpaviljoen De Kust. Here we offer dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner made from fresh products. Enjoy a selection of different breakfast packages, lunch dishes and extensive dishes for a cozy dinner. You've also come to the right place if you're a little hungry in between meals. The take away service provides you with various snacks and ice cream.
Kids
The beach, the largest sandpit in the Netherlands is right on your doorstep and offers plenty of space for hours of fun in the fresh air. Whether you want to build sandcastles, fly kites or jump into the waves, there's no chance of boredom here. If you want to get to know the sea creatures better, we recommend a visit to the Zee Auquarium in Bergen aan Zee.
Sport and games
During a beach holiday, you can't miss out on the various water and beach sports. At the North Pier, you have the opportunity to try your hand at land sailing, power kiting and surfing. Or conquer the waves of the North Sea in a kayak. If you prefer to explore the region by bike, you can either bring your own or rent one on the park.

Your holiday at Strandhuisjes Wijk aan Zee

You can enjoy ultimate relaxation on the Wijk aan Zee beach. Enjoy the murmur of the waves and the sea view on a Beach House veranda. The children will have a great time on the beach. Within a few steps, you're at the flood line. Wet your feet, take a refreshing dip or look for shells. The beach houses are complete with a bathroom and a kitchen. Don't feel like cooking? Take a seat at Strandpaviljoen De Kust. That's also the right spot for breakfast or lunch. Or rent a sun lounger, and spend your days on the beach in extra relaxation. There is always something going on at the beach. Like going beach sailing, power kiting, surfing, or you can step into a kayak at the North Pier and brave the waves. In the dunes you can discover bunkers in various spots, part of the fortress of IJmuiden. There is also plenty to do behind the dunes. There are several restaurants located in the cosy Wijk aan Zee. Would you like to visit the big city? You can drive to Amsterdam, Haarlem or Alkmaar by car in about half an hour. National Park Zuid-Kennemerland near Bloemendaal is a beautiful nature reserve for walking. But it's also great just staying at your beach house with a book. In the evening, you will be treated to a sunset and see the stars in the sky. Enjoy!
